BlackBerry’s latest major upgrade, OS 10.3.1, has finally begun its official rollout to the Canadian company’s suite of BlackBerry 10 devices — right on time. In addition to some significant visual improvements, this release brings lots of new features.

OS 10.3.1 is rolling out globally to “in-market” devices, BlackBerry says, which includes the Passport and Classic — which actually ship with a version of OS 10.3.1 pre-installed — and the Z30, Z3, Z10, Q10, and Q5. The update will also reach the Porsche Design P’9983 and P’9982.

Some of the biggest changes in OS 10.3.1 include BlackBerry Blend, which puts your BlackBerry apps and content on your computer; the Amazon Appstore, which lets you download Android apps directly; and BlackBerry Assistant, the company’s answer to Siri and Cortana.

It also makes improvements to BlackBerry Hub, the Camera app and features, battery life, and more.

OS 10.3.1 is the biggest update BlackBerry has rolled out since BlackBerry 10 made its debut, so if you’re a BlackBerry user, you’re probably already checking your device to see if it has arrived yet. However, not everyone is going to get it right away.

The update will reach devices purchased directly from BlackBerry and Amazon first, CrackBerry reports, then presumably to others purchased at retail without a contract. Those branded by a carrier will have to wait a little longer for it to be approved.

So, don’t worry if you’re not getting it right away; it’s finally on its way, and it’s going to be with you very soon.
